Merby (Men’s Roller Derby)
Roller Derby ain’t just for girls!
With the popularity of Roller Derby ever growing here in Bristol and around the UK, more and more guys are getting their skates on. We’re really excited that some of the guys of BRD are now starting a Men’s Roller Derby team. We’re actively recruiting for the men’s team, so please get in touch for more details. Training is on Sundays, and although skating experience is an obvious benefit it’s not an absolute requirement.
There is also a Bristol Men’s Roller Derby facebook group to keep up to date with information.
Non Skating Officials
Officials
The Officials team is made up of both skating (referees) and non-skating officials. NSOs work with the referees at bouts and scrimmages by keeping track of all penalties, scores, line ups and so on. Without accurate stats being taken, we wouldn’t be able to tell who’s won the game!

Women’s Roller Derby
Due to the massive interest in Bristol Roller Derby, unfortunately we’ve had to close skating intake to the womens’ teams, this is to enable us to concentrate on training up our existing members. Please register on our mailing list if you wish to be kept informed of any Bristol Roller Derby news.
