Ship Shape & Bristol Smash’em!

Saturday, May 21st 2010

Bristol Roller Derby Ship - Shape & Bristol Smash'em!Live roller derby action is coming to Bristol for the first time ever! Bristol Roller Derby’s three home teams will be fighting to the death (or at least fighting to the muscle strain). You can now buy tickets on this very website!

It’s been a year since the creation of Bristol Roller Derby and we’ve come a long way!

What started as a few like minded individuals with a Roller Derby dream, has now taken the city by storm. Bristol Roller Derby now has over 70 members and we’ve gone from one team to four (three home teams and a travel team).

On Saturday 21st May you can see the three home teams Daughters Of Anarchy, Project Mayhem and the Smash Vandals battle it out in three mini bouts at UWE Sports Centre in Frenchay.

And you don’t just get an afternoon of daring derby deeds! We party as hard as we skate – so your ticket price also includes entrance into the after party held at The Old Firestation in the centre of town.

Expect Rockabilly/Surf/Blues/Swing/Psychobilly from La Calavera, Ivy the Terrible and Dollsnatch, our very own in house DJ’s. Perhaps some of our friends in the wonderful world of burlesque will join us for a few performances too… and it wouldn’t be a derby girl night out without copious amounts of cake and popcorn!
