Welcome to Bristol Roller Derby!

We are a roller derby league consisting of several teams and a group of officials, all of which are dedicated to this fast-paced sport on eight wheels.

Bristol Roller Derby is a not-for-profit organisation and run entirely by members for members on a voluntary basis. Each member has a role and contributes to the running of the league. We have a committee and a number of workgroups responsible for different aspects of the organisation.

Bristol Roller Derby was formed in March 2010.  Some hadn’t skated since going to the school roller disco, whilst others hadn’t skated at all. But by December 2010, we had our first full team of minimum-skills-passed players ready to bout as the Bristol Harbour Harlots. Since then, the league has gone from strength to strength and is now home to five different teams:

The Harbour Harlots A and B Teams compete in home and away bouts against other leagues. They are made up of skaters from our three home teams which bout against each other throughout each year: ADHD, the Daughters of Anarchy and the Smash Vandals. We also now have a men’s travel team Vice Quad who are currently recruiting.

In addition, we are very lucky to have a crew of dedicated referees and non-skating officials who play a key role in all our practices and competitive bouts.

To get a taster of Bristol Roller Derby you can check out our video clips. Or better still, come along to one of our next bouts and see us in action!
